Hey you, thanks for visiting my page! You are probably here trying to find out who I am. Well let me tell you, my name is Jenna and I'm an independent stylist and makeup artist. I am Aveda trained and have been an active stylist and makeup artist since 2007. My years behind the chair have shown me that my true passion lies in styling and makeup. I have worked on photoshoots and done countless weddings and special occasions. Many brides ask if it's worth having hair and makeup travel to them on the day of their wedding and the answer is...YES! Stress comes in the form of all the small details that haven't crossed your mind until right...now. How early do we start? What if I forget something? What if there's traffic? How long will it take me to get from the salon to the venue? Whos riding with who? What happens if we run late? Can the photographer come? Grab a mimosa and RELAX...Ill come to you. My goal is to make your big day as stress free as possible. Believe me, it's easier on both of us. Hair and makeup is much more then just a pin on pinterest. It's the cherry on top, the icing on the cake and the missing piece to the puzzle. My goal is for you to feel like the most beautiful you there is. It doesn't matter if you are a self proclaimed princess or a plain jane, your hair and makeup should look like YOU.

Is the 'trial session' free?
No. While I can't believe how fun my job can be, it's still my job. I want you to be happy! After all, it's why I do what I do. However, making brides beautiful is a lot of work and can take a lot of time, money and effort...so please respect that. Your trial is the time for us to figure things out. Do you want your hair up? down? to the side? are you wearing a headpiece? Do you want the same hair for the ceramony as the reception? On your face? Off your face? Are you overwhelmed and don't know where to start?
That's why we have a trial session. These are things you might not know coming into the appointment...but we will figure it out, I'm here to help! Often times the trial session takes a lot longer than the day of. We might take things down, redo them, re curl...Average price for a trial is going to be the same price as the day of. We are doing the same thing after all, and it's often more time/work. For example, day of you want your hair up. Let's say I quoted you at $65. Your trial would be $65 and the wedding day would be $65. Total $130.
How many people can you do at a time?
That sort of depends on what we are doing. If it's makeup...about 8. Hair...about 5-6. However, I often bring a partner in crime to help me. We all tend to know each other in this business so it's not out of the question to do more, I just need to know so I can plan.
Can you do both hair and makeup at the same time?
I do it for smaller parties. However, I prefer doing one or the other. That is why I have a helper. If it's just the Bride...yes. Often times it is the Bride's hair/makeup and just one or the other for the rest of the girls.
Do you do airbrush makeup?
Yes and no. Airbrushing is just a technique. Just like a painter might use different paints and different brushes...so does a Makeup Artist. Its just another method to use, its still makeup. Every makeup artist is different, while one person might tell you it's amazing, the other might hate it. Makeup is soooooo subjective. Just because your friend likes it, doesn't mean you will. Choosing your makeup depends on so many factors...why limit yourself to only one choice? When I use airbrush makeup I tend to just airbrush the foundation. I personally feel that classic makeup gives you more options and more control when applying. To me, I like having a lot of options to choose from and I feel limited when it comes to airbrushing. All in all, I feel as if you should be choosing a makeup artist for their skill and talent, not what products they use.
What kind of products do you use?
I use it all! I am a self diagnosed product JUNKIE!!!! If it works, I'll use it. I have anything from Chanel to Maybelline. Who you will find most in my kit Is Smashbox, MAC, L'Oreal, Tarte and Stila to name a few. I like different things for different reasons. Over all, my top choice is Smashbox. As far as hair goes, Kenra is my top choice for styling. It's a 10! is a very close second.
Why are your prices listed in a range?
Often times when quoting Brides, you girls aren't quite sure what you want yet. Therefore, I can really only give you an estimate. Without seeing you or your hair and finding out exactly what I would be doing, it's hard to give you an exact price. Having said that, the price listed is the average price that most parties are charged. For example, a bride who wants a whole head of clip-in extensions put in then pinned up is going to be more than a bride who wants her natural hair pinned up. Price is determined by how involved the style is and how much work it takes to acheive the desired look. The same goes for makeup. Just because you are going for a natural look, doesn't mean you aren't getting a full face of makeup with false lashes. You would be surprised to learn how much effort goes into even "no makeup-makeup". Girls often look at pictures and assume that the subject has barely any makeup when the reality is different. Again, the more work added, the higher the price.
